I have always had an interest in the human body and was drawn to studying the workings of the mind-body and psyche. I began my healing practice in 1998 after going back to school and completing a massage therapy certification program with the Pacific Coast School of Massage. In 2001, I returned to school to begin my training in Oriental Medicine and Acupuncture at the Santa Barbara College of Oriental Medicine.
Over the years I have worked with many wonderful healers, particularly Dr. Herb Kandel of the Acupuncture Center of Santa Maria. Dr. Kandel and I have collaborated to provide acupuncture as well as custom-blended herbal formulas to our patients.
In 2010 I invited Dr. Troy Smith DC to join me in practice and together we co-created Arroyo Grande Health and Wellness.
In 2011 I completed the yoga teacher training program at Yoga Village in Arroyo Grande, CA which sparked a desire to offer acupuncture-yoga workshops. This led to the creation of community acupuncture clinics at Yogashine in Nipomo where locals could go to receive care in a healing community setting.
In 2020 I transitioned my California practice to Telemedicine consultations and relocated with my fiancé, Tony, to the beautiful Mid-coast Maine city of Belfast. I have a lovely space in The Belfast Center where I see patients in-person. I continue to collaborate with Dr. Kandel to provide consultations and custom-blended herbal formulas to patients in California. I also teach Gentle Flow Yoga at Ananda Yoga in downtown Belfast, as well as providing one-on-one sessions for my patients.
In my off-hours, I enjoy nature, running, practicing yoga, reading and spending quality time with Tony.
